We are delighted to announce that MyInfo is now integrated with ARES, our digital non face-to-face onboarding platform. MyInfo is a personal data platform built by the Singapore government body that caters exclusively for all registered SingPass users, aiming to ease and accelerate online transaction process. With this integrated platform, verification process is now further simplified for users as the steps of onboarding process are reduced.
Business owners using ARES to onboard their clients can now collect reliable and accurate personal data via MyInfo as this channel extract data sources from the various government bodies such as Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA), Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Housing and Development Board (HDB) and many other government agencies.
MyInfo is also a secured platform as logging into SingPass requires users to go through 2-Step Verification (2FA) where users would need to enter their SingPass ID and password followed by a One-Time-Password (OTP) sent via SMS. This security enhancement prevents identity theft which therefore helps to strengthen data reliability.
With this added feature, users can simply populate their personal particulars into ARES using MyInfo with a few clicks. Users will first authenticate themselves by signing in to MyInfo using their SingPass account. Secondly, users will verify their personal data and give their consent to the retrieval of relevant data. Lastly, user’s information will then be auto populated into ARES, saving the hassle for them to manually key in their personal particulars in the ARES landing page.
