DataFest2019 returns again this year for the third time, and Cynopsis team in Singapore and UK attended the Data Talent Scotland and Data Summit in Edinburgh on March 19 and March 21 and 22 respectively.
It has been a busy yet fruitful week for our CEO (EMEA), Avere, and Sales Director, Dan. At the DataFest 2019, Avere and Dan met with many local and international talents, industry, academia and data enthusiasts. The events also provided a platform for our team to share about our deep regulatory expertise, as well as technological and data innovations.
Data Talent in Scotland
As part of the DataFest2019 programme, Dan attended the Data Talent event which took place in Scotland on March 19. Data Talent is Scotland’s largest data talent showcase, and is a platform that brings together aspiring data science and engineering students with employers from across the country. Dan took this opportunity to network, discuss latest industry trends and learn from some of Scotland’s leading data leaders and professionals who were present at the event.
Data Summit in Edinburgh
Following the Data Talent event in Scotland was Data Summit which took place in Edinburgh on March 21 and 22. The Data Summit is a two-day international conference that brings together data leaders and practitioners across industry, the public sector and academia. The event’s main focus is to bring the communities together to collaborate, which is key to data driven innovation.
In addition to the exciting conferences at the DataFest 2019, the Executive Dinner held on March 20 that both Dan and Avere attended was another highlight worth mentioning. They got to exchange expertise with fellow industry leaders from various regions, building a strong network of potential collaborations.
SG-UK Partnership
DataFest 2019 was part of Cynopsis’s efforts and participation in the Singapore-United Kingdom Partnership for the Future campaign to promote a digital economy. This year marks the 200th anniversary of the close-knitted ties between Singapore and the UK, and the Partnership for the Future aims to solidify and expand existing links while creating new opportunities for cooperation in the years to come.
