From the 24th to the 25th of January 2024, the 17th Asian Financial Forum (AFF) took place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Coordinated by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), this year's theme, "Multilateral Cooperation For a Shared Tomorrow," set the stage for a collaborative and insightful event.
The forum drew a diverse audience of over 3000 financial and business leaders from 50 countries and regions, serving as a global platform to explore opportunities, and accelerate sustainable development.
Within the dynamic confines of Hall 5E, the InnoVenture Salon and FinTechHK Startup Salon serve as empowering hubs for startups and entrepreneurs, fostering collaboration on both local and international fronts. These spaces offer invaluable opportunities for pitching sessions and capacity-building advisory sessions.

The InnoVenture Salon’s Pitchathon - a start-up Pitching session, is definitely one of the highlight of AFF2024. Esteemed investment mentors, including Mr. Michael Au (Managing Director of District Capital), Ms. Yutong Cheng (Senior Investment Analyst of Transcend Capital Partners), and Mr. Manav Gupta (Founder and CEO of Brinc), presided over the event.
The intense three-minute pitches, followed by a two-minute Q&A session, provided crucial opportunities for startups and SMEs to present their innovations. It was delightful to take part in this session alongside fellow Singaporean Fintech companies.
AFF 2024 not only showcased advancements across industries including RegTech, it also also seamlessly aligned with the overarching theme of AFF2024, placing a strong emphasis on sustainable development and collaboration, particularly within the financial sector.
