The 8th annual Corporate Service Providers (CSPs) Conference, organised by the Chartered Secretaries Institute of Singapore (CSIS), took place on July 11th at Ritz Carlton Millenia. This highly anticipated event gathered industry experts and professionals to confront the evolving challenges within the financial sector. The conference aimed to empower CSPs with the essential tools to effectively mitigate these risks and fortify the industry's resilience. CSP sector is one that Cynopsis holds dearly to its heart as we found our initial clients back in 2015 from this sector. Fast forward to 2023, we can certainly see that most CSPs in Singapore have evolved and enhanced their anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing controls. This is especially true when our CEO & Co-Founder, Mr. Chionh Chye Kit has been actively involved in delivering the mandatory Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) AML training on a monthly basis for the entire CSP sector in Singapore since 2017.

One of the key focuses of the conference was on the topic of Financial Crimes, with Industry experts gathering to shed light on the challenges and strategies to effectively combat these illegal activities.
Chye Kit was privileged to be back on stage for the 8th year at the CSIS Conference moderating a panel discussion on Financial Crimes. Panel members joining the discussion included Ms. Agnes Chen, Regional Managing Director of CSC Global, APAC; Mr. Eric Chan, Partner at Shook Lin & Bok; and Mr. Ian Selbie, Chief Information Officer from Trusted Services Pte Ltd, who also gave an opening presentation on the analysis of the current landscape. Together, they shared valuable insights and expertise on the issues of of financial crimes.
