Following the warm invitation to speak at the Industry Roundtable on the MAS Consultation Papers organised by RHTLaw Asia LLP on 1st December, our CEO and Co-Founder, Mr. Chionh Chye Kit is also invited to a virtual speaking session organised by the Regulatory and Compliance Sub-Committee of Blockchain Association Singapore (BAS), happening on 7th December.
During the 45-minutes session, Chye Kit will be joining two other industry speakers - Nizam Ismail (Founder & CEO of Ethikom Consultancy) and Azman Hamid (General Counsel of Upbit APAC), to discuss and share their insights on the latest Consultation Paper proposing a Notice on Identity Verification issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
The latest MAS Consultation Paper will mandate the types of information Financial Institutions (FIs) are required to use to verify the identity of an individual for non-face-to-face KYC, which consequently impacts how FinTech and Blockchain-based platforms conduct non-face-to-face KYC. As such, the speakers will be exchanging and sharing their thoughts and comments on the various implications of the MAS proposal.
Do not miss out on this opportunity to join us in this insightful session as the speakers discuss on the Consultation Paper on Identity Verification and we welcome participants to share their views and any questions they might have in mind regarding the Consultation Paper. The Blockchain Association Singapore (BAS) will also be collating comments for submission to MAS.
Date: Monday, 7th December 2020
Time: 3pm - 3.45pm (SGT)
Interested individuals who would like to attend the session can register here.
