Cynopsis Solutions is glad to participate in this year’s Seamless Asia conference, which was held from 25 - 27 June, at the Suntec Convention Centre in Singapore. Our CEO and Co-Founder, Chionh Chye Kit, was also invited to speak at a discussion panel named, “Regtech: Opportunities for Efficiency and Effectiveness”. Along with his co-panelists, he discussed the topics of RegTech adoption and its hurdles, as well as the future of RegTech and how it will evolve over time.
Built on 23 years of history, Seamless Asia is one of Asia’s leading conferences, covering the entire Asian commerce and payments ecosystem. Over the past two days, 350 leading industry speakers were invited to share their knowledge and insights into the latest technologies and services on the market. Over 6000 attendees had visited and participated in 10 tracks of dedicated content covering: payments, e-commerce, smart retail, financial inclusion, banking and card technology, digital ID and solutions.
During the panel discussion, Chye Kit shared that RegTech adoption do not only help business to ease compliance processes by automating repetitive and tedious processes and digitising physical documents into electronic records, it will also benefit business owners when they execute their core business. Despite being a nerve-wrecking process, every business owner has the responsibility to ensure that they stay compliant with the jurisdiction’s regulations since it would implicitly affect businesses’ reputation and credibility. In this case, RegTech adoption will help business owners to simplify their compliance processes, helping business owners to boost effectiveness and efficiency when they conduct their core business.
