As part of the UK FinTech Week initiatives and programmes, FinTech Scotland and Scottish Development International (SDI) will be hosting Edinburgh FinTech Day on the May 2nd to showcase the Scottish FinTech Ecosystem and its academic excellence – a key driver for the thriving FinTech hub in Scotland. The Edinburgh FinTech Day will also demonstrate how Scotland is serving as a FinTech base for FinTech companies expanding into the UK market.
A rising FinTech hub, Scotland has shown steady growth in the number of FinTech companies and organizations in the country. It is now home to many FinTech firms spanning across the full spectrum of financial technologies from payments to Blockchain, from open banking to RegTech.
This event will bring together the visiting firms and the Scottish FinTech community in an opportunity to get insights into two of the world's leading FinTech ecosystems – Singapore and Hong Kong.
Avere Hill, Cynopsis’ CEO and Co-Founder (EMEA), will be joining as a panellist to discuss the Singapore FinTech Ecosystem. As a senior business leader with over 25 years of financial services experience in EMEA and Asia, Avere will share his views on Singapore’s FinTech landscape and how SG-UK partnership will increase collaboration between the two countries by learning from one another in the aspect of digital economy.
