AML/CTF Training for Charities

November 9, 2017

9 November - AML/CTF training for Charities in Singapore.

I was privileged to be invited by Chartered Secretaries Institute of Singapore (CSIS) to design and deliver an AML/CTF training for Charities in Singapore. The training was supported by the Charities Council and Commissioner of Charities in Singapore.

Based on Financial Action Task Force (FATF) various guidances and papers on Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) and in particular, Recommendation 8, we discussed key ML/TF risk areas and vulnerabilities that charities in Singapore face. Through case studies and red flag indicators, I shared with the class what practical steps charities can take to ensure that they better protect themselves from ML/TF risks.

It was a fun, engaging and interactive session.
